Last day for term one

Yes it is the last day for term one.

Hi,I am Pitara.The things that I did well this term were maths,reading and taking good leadership. I fell I need to work on my writing.I would do writing at home to make things better next term.I felt happy and confident working in room 10 this term because I had all my friends to support me.

My best friend

Kia orana my name is Pitara and  I will be talking about my best friend Victoria.Victoria and I have been best friends when we started school.I like Victoria as my best friend cause she has always looked after me and stands up for me. Also I always see a big smile on her face everyday at school.Victoria is the same age as me my birthday is on May 8th and her one is December the 12th.

How the heart works

Today I have found out that The lungs bring in the oxygen inside the heart when you breath,the heart pumps blood to the lungs to pick up oxygen.

Then  pumps the Oxygenated blood out to the rest of the body. After the blood has delivered all the oxygen, it picks up carbon dioxide a waste product. Then the blood goes back to the lungs to drop off the carbon dioxide and pick up more oxygen then its starts all over again.

This year room 10 has been learning about statistics this is a chart on what is room 10 favourite colour and the most favourite colour is blue

Duffy Role Modle Assembly

Yesterday,Glenbrae school had it’s Duffy Role Model assembly.Our Role Model was Sam James verlinden he is also known as Sam V. Sam V is famous as a musician songwriter,and an actor.

Sam spoke to us about the importance of reading because he felt that these were the things which helped him become a successful musician.  

Sam study at the Auckland university of technology   and bachelor degree in communication.We had a lot fun because he taught us boom far this game involved clapping after we played the game he gave out the Duffy book to each  class.

I felt really excited cause he sang us a song called “what have you done for me” I hope Sam comes back to our school.

Christmas poem

I hear Christmas bells jingling so loud.I smell yummy food coming from the kitchen I am hungry i’m coming  to eat now. Ripping wrapping present all around the Christmas tree.Rushing to open presents under the tree so loud. I am grateful that I got a lot of presents this  year. 

GOING TO THE POOL'S

On Friday the 5th of October it was a nice and sunny day. So my uncle said “we should go to the pool’s” so I said “ok” but I had to ask my mum. I asked her and she said “yes you can go”.First we walked to my nana's house to get my swimming togs, towel and some clothes to wear when I finished swimming. The walk to my nana’s took me and my uncle 5 minutes to get there.We left my nana’s house and we walked to the pool’s. When we got to the pool’s we got changed into our swimming togs. Next I got into the pool, we played who can hold their breath for the longest but I lost.Finally me and my uncle went home to eat then go sleep.I had a amazing time with my uncle at the pool’s.
